Running for office in any year would feel incredible. My whole career has been focused on public service, and the prospect of driving positive change for our community as a member of County Council is what makes the hot and humid days canvassing, and long hours of call-time fundraising worth it.

But there’s something incredible and surreal running for office during our country’s 250th birthday.

I’m excited to celebrate on the Fourth of July in Hockessin, assuming we don’t melt in this heat wave first.

You can find me in the Parade and around Hockessin and Yorklyn for the festivities planned throughout the day.

If you’d like to join our team and walk with us in the parade, we have a few spots left in the parade crew. You can sign up here.

We’ll provide you campaign t-shirt and do our best to keep everyone hydrated and cool on the parade route as we spread the word about the campaign and celebrate our country’s independence.

Volunteers are also invited to join me for a cookout after the parade as we gather to beat the heat.

I’m looking forward to seeing everyone on the Fourth and celebrating our nation’s 250th birthday,

Any amount helps ensure we’re able to keep up and get voters to the polls before the Democratic Primary on September 15th.

We’ve got more signs, shirts, mailers, handouts and advertising time to buy over the next few months and we can only do it with the support from donors.

If you want to get more involved, we’re looking for friends to canvass, phone and text bank, organize and join community service events as we work to spread the word about Kyle in this election.
